On August 21, 2023, the ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ Board of Trustees passed the following resolution:
°آ±ل·،¸é·،´،³§,ج New York Codes Rules and Regulations, Title 8, Chapter V, Subchapter D, Part 604.3(b)(4) outlines the Responsibilities and duties of the President of a SUNY community college and states “the president will perform the following duties … formulate and present to the college trustees for their action, recommendations on personnel appointments, promotions, tenure, retention and retrenchment unless this authority has been delegated to the presidentâ€; and
°آ±ل·،¸é·،´،³§,ج By Resolution 42-2014, the ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ Board of Trustees delegated hiring authority up to the level of the Executive Cabinet to the ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ President without future Board approval; and
°آ±ل·،¸é·،´،³§,ج The ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ Board of Trustees desires to rescind the authority previously delegated to the ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ President in Resolution 42-2014; therefore, be it
¸é·،³§°؟³¢³ص·،¶ظ,ج That the ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ Board of Trustees hereby rescinds Resolution 42-2014; and
¸é·،³§°؟³¢³ص·،¶ظ,ج That the ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ Board of Trustees hereby delegates hiring authority up to the level of Dean and Director to the ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ President without future Board approval; and be it further
¸é·،³§°؟³¢³ص·،¶ظ,ج That the ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ Board of Trustees has the authority to approve the creation of all new employment positions.
