Dr. William P. Mullaney will be inaugurated as the ninth president of º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ on November 9, 2026 at 11am at the Cultural Arts Center on our Suffern, NY campus.

Dr. Mullaney has served community college students for more than 30 years and has a proven track record of expanding access, advancing student success, and driving workforce innovation within and outside the SUNY system.Prior to joining º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ, he served as the seventh president of SUNY Corning Community College. Dr. Mullaney has also served as the vice president of Academic Affairs at Bergen Community College and the Dean of Arts and Sciences at Chandler-Gilbert Community College in Arizona.

A first-generation college student and native New Yorker, Dr. Mullaney holds a Doctor of Philosophy in English from Tulane University, a Master of Arts in Literature from the University of California, San Diego, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Virginia.
As part of the inauguration celebration, a will be held throughout the week of November 11, with the capstone event being the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Foundation’s Champions of Change fundraiser, where Dr. Mullaney will be honored along with members of the Rockland County business community for their commitment to º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ, education, and the community at large.
